From Costa Rica to Venezuela to Mexico and Ecuador, November brings a wave of music that celebrates identity, experimentation, and rhythm without borders. Each release carries its own heartbeat — Barzo’s radiant GRIOT EP honors African storytelling through dancefloor energy; Venezonix’s Jaspe channels the spirit of the Venezuelan jungle into a transcendent sonic landscape; and Sinego’s Secreto de Amor (Las Noches) remixes EP bridges Mexico’s classic soul with the pulse of modern electronic music. Together, they form a vibrant snapshot of Latin artistry in motion — bold, emotional, and beautifully unafraid to evolve.

BARZO – GRIOT EP

Pura vida! If you’ve ever seen or even met Barzo, you know he’s a vibrant, joyful character — full of color and energy. That essence shines through in his new EP, from the artwork to the music itself. In this project, Barzo channels his lively spirit into a soundscape that honors African poets and storytellers, blending the nostalgia of four languages (Twi, Goun, French, and Luganda) with nu-disco, afrobeats, and house. The result is a luminous four-track journey — perfect for deep headphone listening or for igniting a dance floor.

Each track features a special collaboration: Kaleta (Benin/Nigeria), Zongo Abongo (Ghana), Pat Kalla (Cameroon/France), and Sandra Nankoma (Uganda), all of whom bring their vocal magic and personal stories to shape a record that explores love, liberation, happiness, heartbreak, and healing.

This EP also marks a milestone in Barzo’s career — his first release with Wonderwheel Recordings, the Brooklyn-based label run by producer and DJ Nickodemus. “What started as one-off collaborations with different African artists quickly evolved into a full EP once I met Nickodemus. It was back in December 2022 — Nico was performing in San José, and I approached him after his set. Through mutual friends, we instantly connected, and the next day he came by my studio to listen to unreleased music. That same day, he invited me to release something on his label — and that’s where the adventure began,” says Barzo.

VENEZONIX – Jaspe

Visualize a hidden ravine of crystal waterfalls flowing over rocks made almost entirely of deep red jasper — a semiprecious stone nestled in a Venezuelan national park. Now imagine the music that such a place could inspire: drums, synthesizers, nostalgic lyrics, and the pulse of Afro-Venezuelan ancestry. The new album by Andrés Ponce, a.k.a. Venezonix, promises an introspective yet explosive journey — a spiritual and sonic exploration featuring exquisite collaborations with Chulius (Los Amigos Invisibles), Pahua, Vielka, MPeach, San Juan USA, Carlos Tález, and Guillermo Lefeld.

The album flows between instrumental and vocal tracks, where “Kueka,” “Onix I,” and “Onix II” act as intro, interlude, and outro, framing the emotional core within. Tracks like “El Dorado” and “Mineral” reference the natural origins of the concept, while collaborations such as “Jaspe” (with Chulius) and “La Soledad” (with Pahua) channel the sensuality of nature and the depth of spiritual connection. It’s a refined, profound, and inspiring work — one that deserves both attentive listening and wholehearted enjoyment.

“This new album represents evolution, journey, exploration, and community,” says Venezonix. “Evolution in my music and in the way I compose and produce, rooted in Afro-Venezuelan rhythms. It’s a journey that began in a physical place — Quebrada de Jaspe — but over time has become an abstract space, a feeling of a happy moment in my life. It’s also about my search for identity as a Venezuelan in the diaspora, creating music that connects me to my roots from afar. And last but not least, community because I got to work with loved friends”.

SINEGO & JOAN SEBASTIAN – Secreto de Amor (Las Noches) EP

Few musical traditions have influenced Latin America as deeply as Mexican popular music, inspiring generations from U.S. Latino communities to the far south of the continent. Latin producer, DJ, and multi-instrumentalist Juan David Rodríguez, better known as Sinego, is no exception — but his approach is. Taking the legacy of the legendary Joan Sebastian, Sinego reimagines it for the dance floor, transforming the heartfelt essence of ranchera into something daringly modern. He calls it “bolero house” — a visionary fusion of hypnotic electronic rhythms with the powerful voice and poetic lyrics of Mexico’s beloved Rey del Jaripeo.

This EP brings together all of Sinego’s remixes of Joan Sebastian’s iconic songs: “Secreto de Amor”, “Sentimental”, “Un Idiota”, and the newest reinterpretation, “Más allá del Sol”. With this last track, Sinego closes a meaningful chapter — paying homage to the music that has shaped his life in Mexico. It’s a romantic song that feels deeply personal to him, yet works perfectly on the dance floor.

“This EP means a lot to me because people either love these remixes or absolutely hate them,” says Sinego. “I’ve received messages from Joan Sebastian’s family and fans saying, ‘Wow, what a great reimagining!’ — and I’ve also had people threaten me for ‘messing with his memory.’ But I actually love that contrast. Good music should stir emotions, and I think that means I did something right.”

These three vibrant releases remind us why Latin electronic music continues to captivate the world: it’s not just about rhythm, but about stories, connection, and reinvention. Whether through Barzo’s luminous collaborations, Venezonix’s spiritual depth, or Sinego’s fearless fusion, each artist redefines what it means to create from the heart.

As a little bonus, here are a couple singles you definitely don’t want to miss this November.

Milushka – Reina de la Pista / OUT NOW

Born in Ecuador and based in Miami, Miluhska has become one of the city’s most magnetic voices. Her new single Reina de la Pista marks a turning point in which she steps fully into her own sound. The track was born from a simple idea that came alive with a shimmering synth line and layers of Latin and African percussion. Flutes, airy and hypnotic, add a mystical touch inspired by Middle Eastern and Indian sounds. The result: a vibrant, soulful dance track that embodies both power and softness, groove and grace. Pahua, Chill&Go, Palmasur – Cumbia de los Espíritus / NOV 14th

In this track, the three Mexican artists join forces to create a deliciously hypnotic cumbia, where the genre’s traditional rhythms are infused with the lofi roots of Chill&Go and Palmasur, beautifully complemented by Pahua’s smooth voice and deeply poetic lyrics. This fusion of folktronica and cumbia transforms the mysticism of Día de Muertos into a sound that’s psychedelic, magical, and irresistibly sensual. Pre-save this soulful, intoxicating track here.
