In the heart of Miami, where flavor, culture, and rhythm collide, Tigre Sounds returns this month with a soulful sonic pit stop: Beats Per Mile —a celebration of Latin sound and speed in honor of Miami Race Week, hosted at the ever-vibey, and always delicious Miami staple, Caracas Bakery, on Wednesday, April 30th.

This isn’t just another DJ set with lattes. Beats Per Mile is an intimate, immersive homage to the diasporic pulse of Latin music. Warm wooden minimalism, nostalgia and lush plant-lined DJ booths—layered with vinyl, live percussion, and the unmistakable sabor of our city.

From Hong Kong to Medellín, con Amor, Mor

Our curated lineup is sure to move body and soul. Each artist carries a slice of the global Latin experience, bound together by deep groove and heart-centered storytelling. Gia Fu, representing Hong Kong, opens the day spinning pure salsa vinyl—a nod to vinyl culture and old-school Latin sabrosura. Then, DJ Le Spam and Nickodemus go back-to-back, a first time debut, weaving Miami essence and NYC edge into an Afro-Latin descarga of funky global grooves. Finally, Killabeatmaker closes the afternoon with a journey through Afro-Colombian electronica and folktrónica, accompanied by a special guest.

Together, they form a constellation of selectors and creators redefining what Latin means in sound today.

Community Is the Culture

This moment is more than music—it’s about who’s in the room. That’s why we’re inviting over twenty of Miami’s beloved selectors to join us for “coffee on us” and portraits by resident Tigre photographer Val Chaparro. A special editorial tribute will spotlight “The Female Selectors of the 305,” honoring the powerful women behind Miami’s music scene.

From live illustrations by Brian Butler, to coffee-cup doodles by Cuban-Dominican artist Jenny Perez, every detail is crafted to feel local, hand-drawn, and soulful. There will even be a limited-edition t-shirt drop by our Art Director, Saul Cuevas, inspired by retro racing vibes with a Tigre twist.

Presented by Total Wireless, the event blends speed and soul with thoughtful brand touches—from natural wood signage to custom menu integrations—all designed to complement the warm, inviting aesthetic of the space.

Fast Cars. Slow Brews. Soulful Selectors.

As BPM kicks off under the Miami sun, it becomes a space where the energy of Miami Race Week meets the pulse of Latin America—where analog grooves and digital speed exist in harmony, and where the bakery becomes a dance floor.

We believe music is movement, and there’s no better metaphor for that than a mile driven in rhythm. Come through, feel the tempo, sip slow, and ride the wave with us.

Join us on Wednesday, April 30th. RSVP here
