“Siempre Te Quiero A Veces” is a haunting reflection on modern love—its transience, its contradictions, and the emotional residue it leaves behind. Mixed by Nathan Boddy (James Blake, Romy XX, Mura Masa), the track unfurls like a confession cloaked in restraint. “I wanted to write from the perspective of someone pretending they’re fine with seeing the person they’re singing to occasionally,” Pablo shares. “But at the same time, that someone is accidentally revealing just how deeply these moments are leaving a mark.” The accompanying Gallery Session, filmed in Barcelona, captures this vulnerability in raw, stripped-down form—an intimate invitation into Pablo’s sonic world.
Yet, this song is only the beginning. Canciones en Mi—described by Pablo as “an ode to simplicity”—is a breakup album written before the breakup itself. “Crazily enough, it was all a big premonition of everything that was about to happen,”he admits. Steeped in uncomfortable truths and tender mantras, the album became both a mirror and a map for the dissolution of his own love affair, chronicling the complexities of intimacy before they fully unraveled. The title nods to the fact that most of the songs rest in the key of E Major, a sonic palette Pablo found himself instinctively drawn to—a space where childlike honesty meets musical mastery.
Pablo’s journey to this moment has been as layered as his compositions. With three Latin Grammy wins to his name—including production credits on his father’s Tinta y Tiempo and Nathy Peluso’s high-octane “Aprender a Amar”—he has spent years navigating between the acoustic roots of his upbringing and the digital landscapes of Ableton and electronica. A pivotal moment came when Spanish rapper C. Tangana, known as Pucho, challenged him to strip away the layers. “Just find the thing you want to say and say it again, and again and again,” Pucho advised. That directive shifted everything, steering Pablo back to the purity of voice, guitar, and the stories that needed telling.
Through this return to simplicity, Pablo found his center. Canciones en Mi is the culmination of a decade-long search for authenticity—a balancing act between the deeply personal and the universally relatable. With recent collaborations alongside Carin León, Ralphie Choo, and Helado Negro, Pablo continues to blur borders and genres, crafting songs that feel like whispered secrets passed between lovers, anchored in truth.
Following a whirlwind festival tour across Latin America, including stops at Lollapalooza Argentina, Estéreo Picnic and others, Pablo is now set to share his music with audiences across Europe, opening for Ed Maverick in London and Paris before embarking on a summer festival circuit throughout Spain.
