In an ever more borderless world, Latin electronic music has quietly become one of the most potent cultural forces of our time. In the U.S. alone, Latin-music revenues hit a record US$1.4 billion in 2024, up roughly 6% year-over-year, with streaming making up almost all of that growth. Globally, electrónica is projected to increase by around 7.8% annually through 2030. Within that exhilarating soundscape lives and breathes Latintrónica, a quickly emerging cultural genre where ancestral rhythms meet futuristic club sonics—not as a fringe movement, but as a genre bending, bridging, and even erasing borders.
This year’s Latin Music Awards Night marks more than celebration; it signals a shift, as more electronic creators reshape the sound of what Latin music can be and are recognized through their nominations. That’s exactly why this November in Las Vegas we’ll bring the world Electrónica Secreta; a secret, invite-only DJ experience where Latin rhythms and global club energy merge, transforming a hidden corner of the city into a temple of sound. More than a showcase, this intimate but electric gathering will be a cultural declaration: that Latin electronic music is not just here, it’s leading. From underground rooms in Miami to festivals in CDMX, a new generation of producers and artists is weaving Latin pulse into the global club script—honoring folklore, native sounds, basslines, synth seduction, and cross-continental rhythms alike.
At the heart of that movement is Ecuadorian-born, Miami-based queen of the dancefloor, Miluhska. Her sets fuse Latin groove, deep house, and fierce feminine fire into something unmistakable. After rising through collaborations and major festival lineups, her new single Reina de la Pista marks her full emergence as both performer and producer. Co-created with Miami-based producers Lewis Martinee, Alex A.bomb and keyboardist Duck Romero, each collaborator helped shape the track’s pulse in different ways. From Martinee’s clean, kinetic production style to A.bomb’s rhythmic intuition and Romero’s melodic touch that breathes warmth into the keys, together, they crafted Miluhska’s foundational hymn for self-expression.
“After La Musa, I had so much love and energy come my way, but this time I wanted to express something that was completely mine,” Miluhska says. The song’s trajectory mirrors that intent: what started as a clean studio session felt “too commercial,” she remembers. Then a shimmering synth line, flutes with Middle-Eastern and Indian inflections, Latin and African drums—together they reshaped the track into something global and yet deeply rooted in her personal latinidad and sonic identity.
The song’s journey took an unexpected turn in Puerto Rico, a place that shaped both its rhythm and its meaning. “It was leading up to my debut in Puerto Rico, ironically enough,” she says. “This song is very inspired by La Isla del Encanto. Alex A.bomb, who’s actually from there, was in the room creating it with us, and we were talking about Bad Bunny’s movement and what he’s doing for his people.”
At the time, the island was still recovering from years of crisis. “Puerto Rico had gone through so many tragedies,” Miluhska says, “and I just thought it would be beautiful to give them something—una chispa de alegría—a spark of joy.” That intention poured directly into her lyrics: Fiestas marquesinas sacándoles sudor. Prendemos el pasto a alumbrar el apagón. No voy pa’ la disco, de aquí pa’l callejón. It’s a verse born from resilience and an invitation to dance through the dark. “When everything else is closed,” she adds, “you still find a way to move.”
Reina de la Pista is more than a solo debut; it’s a sonic rebirth and a declaration of light. It’s a hymn for those who keep moving even when the lights go out, because rhythm, like hope, can’t be contained. And this November during Latin Music’s Awards Week, Miluhska will bring that same luminous energy to Electrónica Secreta as its headliner, channeling the spirit of her new era into a night designed for those who dance through darkness and emerge in their own light.
Presented by Tigre Sounds in partnership with Total Wireless, this intimate gathering is where Latin sound, story, and innovation will collide. Through a rare sensorial journey, we’ll blur the lines between the underground and the elevated weaving deep rhythms, global textures, live performances, and the kind of collective energy that only happens when culture meets community. This is not a party — it’s a space for connection and creative liberation. Here, Latintrónica steps boldly into its next chapter, and Miluhska stands at its center — the voice, the vision, and the vibration of a new era.
