We do this to move souls. To build rhythm-rooted community. To connect—one beat, one cafecito, one shared moment at a time. On April 30th, we transformed a neighborhood corner into a cultural portal, where music, community, and cafecito collided in true Tigre style. Beats Per Mile wasn’t just our Miami Race Week detour—it was a sonic ignition for Miami’s rhythm seekers.
The afternoon opened with a vinyl ritual by Gia Fu, the Hong Kong-born DJ and dancer who stirred the crowd with her deep collection of salsa records—an homage to movement, migration, and the diasporic power of Latin rhythm. The energy only intensified with a rare back-to-back set from DJ Le Spam of Spam Allstars and Nickodemus, blending funk, global bass, and old-school sabor into a dance floor groove that had the block pulsing. To close it all out, Killabeatmaker delivered a fiery set of Afro-Colombian folktrónica that cracked the sky wide open—a hypnotic fusion of ancestral drums, electronic bass, and digital rebellion.
Throughout the day, people flowed in and out with cafecito in one hand, and joy stretched across their faces. The beats were heavy, and the love was deep. This is the kind of moment we live for—when strangers become friends, rhythms become rituals, and our shared humanity dances just a little bit closer.
This is Tigre’s coffee culture—louder, deeper, and unapologetically soulful. Gracias to our partners Caracas Bakery, Stay Relevant and most of all you—our fierce, music-loving community. You are why we do what we do.
