Last week, La Cueva de Tigre, an immersive and soulful haven for artists and creatives debuted at the iconic ACE Props & Studios in Miami. Known for its deep roots in Miami’s creative scene, ACE Props & Studios is a cherished space that has long served as a collective destination for artists of all disciplines. Its eclectic mix of props, art, and unconventional spaces curated by visionary co-owners Liesel and Steve Harivel provided the perfect backdrop for La Cueva de Tigre, embodying the spirit of artistic freedom and collaboration that defines this soulful experience. More than just a venue, ACE Props & Studios is where the pulse of Miami’s art community beats, and we couldn’t have chosen a more fitting partner for this inaugural artist hub.
Born from a collective need to escape, connect and self-express freely, artists and guests were not only nourished physically but also creatively, with a range of curated activities to inspire connection and collaboration. A Gibson Guitar Pop Up was the heart of spontaneous creation, where jam sessions erupted in organic harmony, allowing musicians to share their talents, and create magic on the spot. This synergy between artists transformed the space into a living, breathing celebration of music and artistry with art-directed portraits brought to life by visionary photographer Mary Beth Koeth and styling options by Danny Santiago. A ‘Citizens of the World’ portrait set design was also created by Arlene Delgado and photographed by Tigre resident photographers Daniel Zuliani and Andres Cordoba. Artists in attendance included Chico Castillo, Nella, Dayme Arocena, Andrea Bejar, Manu Manzo, Jason Joshua, Miluhska, Paperwater, Le Coco Ramos, Dav Julca, Yoli Mayor, Ear Candy and Rum & Coke, to name a few. We also had the opportunity to invite the leaders of organizations like Link Miami Rebels, Rhythm Foundation, Sweat Records, and ZeyZey that make up of Miami’s rich cultural landscape.
Throughout the day, attendees indulged in a journey of taste and sound, with local Miami partners elevating the experience. Tripping Animals Brewery provided standout brews like “No Mames” and “Ever Haze,” while Caracas Bakery delighted guests with authentic Venezuelan delicacies, including the beloved Palmeritas and pastelitos. Hydration was on point, thanks to Topo Chico, Smart Water, and Fever-Tree mixers, ensuring that guests stayed refreshed as they soaked in the creative energy flowing through the space.
As the sun began to dip, the evening took on a more intimate and electrifying energy. Guests sipped on signature Bacardi Ocho cocktails, enjoyed the earthy flavors of 061 Wine, and savored the invigorating kick of Radiate Kombucha, setting the perfect mood for the performances that were to follow. Miami’s premier DJ collective, Rum & Coke, set the mood with a curated DJ set paying homage to Fania and other greats and Yoli Mayor captured our attention with a stellar opening performance. The evening reached its zenith with a breathtaking show from soulful Cuban artist Daymé Arocena, whose powerful voice resonated deeply with every soul in the room, creating a moment of intimate connection that lingered long after the show ended.
La Cueva de Tigre was not just an experience; it is a testament to the power of artistic collaboration, the magic that happens when creative souls come together, and the cultural vibrancy of Miami. We are beyond grateful to our incredible partners who helped bring this vision to life and to the artists who filled the space with their boundless passion and talent.
