For two unforgettable days during Latin music’s award week, La Cueva de Tigre returned to the iconic ACE Props & Studios in Miami, solidifying its place as a must-attend experience for artists, creatives, and music lovers. This second installment was more than just an event—it was a celebration of Latin music, art, and culture, weaving together emerging talent with industry icons and spontaneous moments of music magic.
At the heart of the La Cueva de Tigre experience lies the ethos of Tigre Sounds founder, Isabella Acker, whose vision shapes the vibrant energy of the event. For Tigre Sounds, music has always been a unifying force, and La Cueva de Tigre exemplifies that belief. During one of the most important weeks in Latin music, Acker saw an opportunity to gather the creative leaders and visionaries who drive the sounds we love. By bringing together the artists and innovators who make music culture so dynamic, La Cueva de Tigre becomes more than a celebration—it becomes the cultural hub that honors and amplifies the community that inspires us all.
The two-day experience was brimming with vibrant conversations, artist-to-artist interviews, and dynamic pairings that spotlighted some of the most exciting voices in Latin music today. From one-on-one discussions with rising stars like Os Garotin—recently nominated for Best New Artist at the Latin Grammys—to the magnetic Catalina García of Monsieur Periné, the event offered a rare glimpse into the creative journeys of these artists. Highlights included a salsa-laden conversation (and impromptu salsa jam) between Nathy Peluso and Grupo Niche – stay tuned for the full interview. Other featured guests included exciting talents like Emily Estefan, Spanish innovators La Plazuela, and genre-defying artists such as Leton Pe, La Vida Boheme, La Zorra Zapata, Kat Dahlia, Salomon Beda, Maréh and Rubio. Each moment was a testament to the depth and diversity of Latin music today.
The event culminated in an electrifying performance known as the Funky Cuban Jam, headlined by Cimafunk and his band Tribu, whose explosive energy transformed the space into a pulsing epicenter of funk and soul. The jam session welcomed surprise appearances from legends such as Chucho Valdés and Arturo Sandoval, alongside a cast of dynamic collaborators including Emily Estefan, Nella, Leoni Torres, and Bita. Yet La Cueva de Tigre was not only about the music. It was also a space for creativity to thrive, with art directed portrait sessions, spontaneous jam sessions, and immersive artistic installations shaping the atmosphere. Resident photographers Valerie Chaparro and Vanessa Diaz captured the essence of the artists in striking portraits, while ACE Props’ eclectic aesthetic, crafted by founders Liesel and Steve Harivel, provided the perfect canvas for creativity to flourish. Moments were captured in time by resident visual storytellers Cami on the Cam and Andrescora while the space buzzed with the energy of collaboration, offering a unique opportunity for artists to connect and create.
As we reflect on the magic created during the second edition of La Cueva de Tigre, it’s clear that this gathering has grown into more than an event—it’s become a platform for connection, exploration, and artistic freedom. From emerging artists to legendary performers, the magic of La Cueva de Tigre lies in its ability to bridge worlds and bring people together through the power of music.
