Some voices feel like home, like a warm breeze carrying echoes of the past and dreams of what’s to come. Natalia Lafourcade has long been one of those voices—an artist whose music is both an offering and an awakening. With the release of her first single Amor Clandestino (Acústica) and her long-awaited upcoming album Cancionera, she invites us once more into a world where music is more than sound—it is memory, it is spirit, it is love that refuses to be silenced. “Love is the most precious and valuable thing we have as human beings,” Natalia reflects. “Until people learn to love freely and openly, we will continue to suffer a lot in this world.” Now, Natalia gives us a deeper glimpse into her soul with her latest Como Quisiera Quererte.
With Cancionera, Natalia embarks on her most profound storytelling journey yet. The album, like its name suggests, is a collection of songs that speak to the heart of who we are, of the stories we tell ourselves, and the ones we pass down. Following her Grammy-winning De Todas Las Flores, this new chapter promises to bring listeners even closer to her essence. To mark the occasion, she is set to embark on her most extensive North American tour since 2018, bringing with her a deeply personal performance that will reimagine beloved classics alongside the unveiling of new treasures. “I’ve been dreaming for a while of returning to the stage in a different way,” she shares, “perhaps more intimate or closer to my audience.”
Beginning April 23 in Xalapa, Mexico, the Cancionera Tour will take Natalia across some of the most stunning concert halls in the U.S. and beyond, including stops at Chicago Theatre, The Kennedy Center in Washington D.C., Adrienne Arsht Center in Miami, and Paramount Theatre in Seattle. This tour is more than a performance—it is an invitation to step into Natalia’s private universe, a space where songs are not just sung but lived, where melodies embrace us like old friends, and where love, in all its forms, is honored and set free.
As we await the full unveiling of Cancionera, we are reminded that Natalia Lafourcade is not just a singer—she is a keeper of stories, a guardian of feeling, a vessel for something greater than herself. And with every note she gifts us, she invites us to remember that music, at its core, is an act of love.
