Rain couldn’t dampen the music lovers’ spirit last night. The talent and energy was electrifying, thanks to the Cuban powerhouse La Dame Blanche who stole our hearts and Miami’s own GAIYA who opened the night.
Her Miami debut, La Dame Blanche had all of Miami Beach Bandshell on their feet with a mix of hip hop, cumbia, female empowerment, and dancehall. A singer, flautist, and percussionist from Cuba but based in France, it was a mix of absolute musical bliss. A night we won’t soon forget.
Thank you to everyone who showed up and made it a night to remember. We feel so honored to co-present this Global Sounds Concert Series with our friends Casalú in partnership with the Rhythm Foundation, that allows these shows to be free and open to the public. Every great city has programming that amplifys culture and gives access to all, and we feel grateful to be part of doing just that in our backyard.
It’s not just about the shows, it’s about the passion for music, talent and community that brings us all together.
